Obscuro: Occult Curiosities
Brand Identity Guide

While enrolled in an illustration methods class for Spring 2017 at IRSC, I created a brand identity guide for a fictitious retail store, dubbed Obscuro: Occult Curiosities. It’s a personal dream of mine to some day own a business, especially one that dabbles in the occult – so I decided to capitalize on this project and make it personal.
I used my Skull-Leader/Hamlet project as a base for the Obscuro logo and secondary mark. I added elements to create a wax-seal visual, and used a hand-written script font for the primary mark. The use of these elements aided in the visual story that I wanted Obscuro to tell – as the name implies, dark and hidden curiosities of the unknown and unusual.
