Indian River State College, 2017
The first video I had to create in my Summer 2017 Multimedia Video course at IRSC – one that focused shots of hands, face, and over the shoulder.
I had a tough time envisioning what to make, but I knew that I didn’t want to make something like what I assumed nearly everyone one else would be making – how to make a PB&J…
I decided to use one of my favorite characters for this video, Madara Uchiha, or “Tobi” depending on where you’re at in the series, from the Naruto & Naruto Shippuden animé. Manuel Rubio volunteered to be my actor for the video, and I used a voice over that I created in Apple’s Garage Band program, featuring my voice augmented and reciting a quote by Madara.
I made the video more personal by using a picture of Manuel and I together to represent what had been lost, and in that loss came darkness over the character which evolved him into a villain.
